Ferrari 360
November 22, 2010This Ferrari 360 was booked in for an All Surface Protection Detail before being put to bed over the winter. The car used to be owned by one of the guys at a premium wax manufacturing company so the paintwork was in pretty good order, in terms of swirling etc
I went to view the car a week or so before the detail, and we decided taking the wheels off would be a good idea as the car has been caught out in the rain a couple times this year.
Before
On arrival, bright and early on a Saturday morning

Wheels
Despite the wheels coming off I decided to get most of the dirt off during the wash stage.
Using Redberry Wheel Cleaning and a CYC/Spoke brush

The engine bay also needed some attention. No during pictures for this im affraid.
Rinsed at medium pressure with the PW, then using Outrageous Orange and a few brushes to clean the dirt and dust.

Washing
The car was giving a blast with the snow foam and left to dewll for 5minutes

Once rinsed it was time for the 2BW with Shampoo Plus and a sheepskin wash mitt. This was followed by a full car application of Tardis.

Wheels and Arches
Quite a lot of dirt had collected in around the arches. A good rinse and more Outrageous Orange followed by some trim gel.
Before

After

Once off the wheels were giving another cleaning with Redberry and finished with a couple coats of PB Wheel Sealant

Tyres will be dressed later

Once all the wheels and arches had been completed the car was giving a good clay with Sonus Green. This didn’t pick up anything particually exciting so I got to it without the camera.
With all the paintwork and glass clayed I dressed the engine bay and moved the car inside for the final stages.

The LSP of choice was Blackfire Midnight Sun so I used Gloss Enhancing Polish to prep the paint. This was applied to the whole car before being removed.

By the time the Gloss Enhancing stage was complete the sun had dissapeared.

So down came the garage doors for the finishing touches.
Firstly a layer of Midnight Sun which was left to cure while the interior and leather was given some attention. Once the wax was given its first buff the tyres were dressed, glass cleaned etc
Finished
